I picked up my '16 mtx 141" cheap enough I could not say no. My issue is I ride primarily trails. I dont run fast but I like to play around sometimes ha ha! I've considered shaving my 2.25 powerclaw down to 1.75 and re-gearing. Not sure what the mtx came with for stock gears or what would be a good gear ratio to run for trail use. Did some seArching on here but am still somewhat confused.
Thanks

You have the right idea, cut the track down to 1.75" and re gear it, not absolutely sure but you probably have 7 tooth driver's, by going to 8 tooth that'll off set your gear ratio for more speed, you most likely have 24 50 or 21 49 gearing , I would do 8 tooth driver's and 21 41 gears for trail riding.

Got the same sled, its got 21/49 gears and 7t drivers, aka full mountain setup. If u shave track, could probably pull 24/45 gearing all day and save factory chain. Otherwise u might see 80mph with a cut helix!
