Hello:

Just purchased a 09 153 MTX and see that it has 2 positions for the rear suspension to mount to the skid. Anyone using the lower mount, and does it help the powder performance by lowering the angle of attack up front? Looks like a no brainer, but any drawbacks?

You will get less weight transfer putting it in the lower hole.

I can't really tell the difference between the two very much. The approach angle will actually get worse but only by a tiny amount.

Bringing this back up as I just bought a 2011 MTX in late March and got to ride it twice. It is a bit of a wheelie machine and I am thinking of trying the lower mounting hole for the rear suspension...any additional experience with this? Does it increase steering effort? This is a Push Turbo so I would like to keep the front end down more if possible.

It will increase ski pressure down the trails, it doesn't make it horrible but you will notice it. As far as when your in the powder I don't think you will notice a difference, let's you dig that much deeper! I always end up going back to a somewhat stock sitting position after trying to either raise or lower the ride height.
