Hi there everybody. New to the forum and got an 08 mtx on order. Looking around for fox floaties for this mean machine, does anyone know the c/c on the front shocks on the mtx. Great forum btw, tons of info if you do a search couldnt find anything on this though. :rocks:

while im not sure on the c to c..i emailed timbersled about a front end and they said the nytro mtn and phazer mtn have the same front end.

DB - I would have to disagree on the front ends being the same. Similar-yes/ the same-no.
I have the shock measurements somewhere, but haven't found them yet. I had a chance to measure one a while back.

Thanks PwdrNut, close is good enuogh. Now i can go looking for them floaties.
Btw. talked to Erik (mcx) last friday very happy whith the dyno numbers om the nytro. The turbo can be mounted in an ideal position and delivers power like a midmount. Hope summer will be over soon.

These are the measurements I had:
extended 17.5", collapsed to stop 12.75"
I know they are close, but may not be exact.
I just measured the Floats from my Attak ( were the OEM's for the 06' Apex) only 16.5" fully extended, was hoping to use them on the MTX. I guess I'll hang onto them until the MTX arrives, just incase something changes during production.

You are correct. Thanks for the correction Yammerhammer.
I called Fox again. I guess they considered the "new Nytro" the 07 when I called the first time. Being more specific (and paying more attention), they said they don't and won't have a part number for a while.

mtx front shocks

Well i was at a dealer who had a preproduction mtx. The front shocks measured 42,5 cm extended and thats about 16,73". It means that the 16,5 floaties will fit. This was not a produktion sled, please have that in mind so that you don´t put a contract out on my head when the production units arrive.

LOL...no worries - just tells me not to feel so bad about passing on a screaming deal for 18.5" Ohlins..wouldn't have fit anyway. I would have expected the length to be a bit longer (pre-pro noted)... oh well, thanks for the note.
