hey guys, i am currently running stock skid and shocks on my 08 Mtx nytro. i dont really want to change out my skid this season but need some new shocks for sure, it sags pretty good in the rear. was wondering if anyone knew what the forward shock C to C is and what it is colapsed and what the rear shock C to C is and it colapsed. what would my options for shocks be? can you run floats on a stock 08 skid? i see they come on the new nytros.

thanks

the shocks on the OEM skid do very little for Ride height and sagging. The torsion springs are the issue and that is where you get the ride hieght. your shocks could still need to be replaced however. the Rear suspension on the 08 was pretty soft if you are a bigger guy even if you ran it on the stiff setting. I read that a lot of guys had good results if you run Apex torsion springs. Nexttech sells a rear converstion to run FOX floats but i would just save your money and look in the classified section for a used aftermarket skid. For the cost of the conversion you can find a used setup that would surely work better then the OEM. the OEM setup on the 08 had quite a few issues.
