When I picked up my sled I also bought six new filters. My dealer gave me the 5GH 13400-20 ( long ) Apex style. I realize that the 3 cly motor comes with the shorter 5DM 13440-00 style. It looks as if there is enough room for the longer type. Need to know if they are interchangable, and is the only difference between the two is length? Has anyone else used the longer style on their MTX's yet? Just wondering before I call tomorrow for the exchange.
My dealer also gave my the same wrong filter for my Nytro, I didn't notice till after I was done changing oil & noticed the # on my filter box didn't match what the manual calls for. I've got 300+ miles on it since & everything seems fine. It's a little longer than stock, but not as wide - probably about the same filter material inside.
