Who is running both ski spacers to the outside to get a wider stance?
Pros and Cons for a flatlander?

Sorry, tried to search for 20 minutes without any results.

hmmmm, somebody got a taste of a 4stroker and wants one.......
I wish!!
My cousin bought an 08 MTX and we are doing a little adjusting.
By the way, thanks again, Ive come real close to going and buying one without the wife knowing!! Kinda like my last three new sleds!!!lol

I run mine at the widest setting. I find it mostly gets rid of the tippy point Nytro's seem to have...

So you have both bushings to the outside? Or do you just have the wider bushing out and thinner bushing inward?
thanks

Both bushings are to the outside. I have ran it in all positions, an I personally prefer it this way.

Thanks, thats what I was looking for. We just did this along with pulling up the limiter strap 2 holes and went to 0 pre load on the front shock springs, and so far around yard it deffinitly seems a lot less tippy.
Thanks again

0 preload? What do you mean by that?

The stock shocks are VERY soft. Pulling up the limiter will increase the amount of weight on the skis, and magnify the problem with balance.

I think the theory behind it is that it allows the sway bar to do its job. With a stiff setting on the ski shock spring, the swaybar cant overcome it, therefore the outside ski will dip and the inside ski will rise. Also it lowers the front end.
Its similar to what the Apex guys were having to do, lower the front of the sled and put in a larger swaybar, giving them a flatter cornering sled.

0 pre load, I backed off the adjusting collar until it wasnt compressing the spring. Then I tightend it just enough to keep the spring in place.

That is what I guessed.

Apparently you ride trails. I tried most of the settings on the limiter as well. You can help out trail manners with some of these adjustments, but they hamper the deep powder performance.

Bottom line is that ALL of the factory suspension sucks! Fox Floats up front, swaybar delete, and a Timbersled in the rear made it an entirely different sled.

I don't care how you slice it, it will never be comfortable within the factory settings...

go ahead sno-xr and buy one. I won't have my wife tell yours. :tg:

So we should go in on a "Buddy Pack" deal and buy two??? lol

MotoPsyco, Yes, 80% trail riding.

aahh thats alright. I'll stick to my apex. You can hide it over here though. I promise it won't move from where you leave it. :moon:
