Just swapped for a polaris 52mm track on my old phazer mtx.
Cut the egdes so it fits and turned the drivewheels due to wear.
Tried the snowmobile on a 1 minute run on mostly icy road.
The track clips was very warm and it had melted plastic from hyfax.
As i stood there scratching my head i saw that the polaris track on had 1 clip pr 4th row .
And the windows inbetween was no cut out.
Could this be the case ? , guess it worked on polaris earlier with this track.
Btw Iceage/timbersled rear end with close to 0 idlerwheels

i has issues with slides sticking on every sled i had with the closed every 3rd window track. worst was a 01 sx550r as it hated anything packed. clipping it would reduce a whole bunch of the sticking. at minimum you need to open those closed windows to let the snow in better for lube. did a 1990 et400 that way and it is running fine.

Tried to find a new track but its close to impossible to find a 144X14X2 2.52" track anywhere. Any suggestion on a MTX track ? can even to 146"

just cut the windows open and clip it yourself. did that once as it was cheaper than a new track.

Have done that before too. Razor knife and a clip tool. Have also ran them just open without clips. Not great with extrovert drivers but can do.

Guess its the option now , buy the tool and clip it. Does anyone make phazer 2" 14" wide tracks now ?

No, you would be cutting the track down on a table saw to width
