Typical
Typical manual-shift in the mud: stuck. Honda folks can talk about belt-slippage all they want, but CVTs are far superior in the mud.
I cant count all the manual-shift quads I helped out of the mud.
However, it didnt get much better than watching a Honda rider try to get through the mud only to get stuck, and then to crawl on by on my supposedly inferior Polaris. I always made sure to stop and help them out though.
Not sure which is more satisfying, all those Hondas I pulled out of the mud, or the REV that I towed back to town with my old '90 Phazer II last winter after he blew a seal in his motor, and siezed it.
Those were some good times.
