My first 50 miles on 2005 RX1

Just understand that not "all" of them are "expert opinions". :ORC

Yes but the greatest is when them CAT boyz are wrenchin or standin trailside with HOODS UP you will no you made the best choice.

the clutching and other performance mods you read about work well, but these sleds are very tight when new, almost as if the brakes are dragging. they really loosen up and perform much better after 500 to 1000 miles. i dont know of anyone having any warranty issues with these mods done, at least not that i can remember reading about on this site.

I know myself i noticed that my engine was extremely tight when new.... Once you get to the 6-700mile mark there is alot more power there!!

What speeds were you racing from 30+ or from 0-100?

I saw your F7 buddy was already clutched and canned..... And still the new F6 was almost as fast... says something for the new stuff!!

Ill wait till snow to make any further comments on whos sled is faster!!

Why is it that us Yamaha owners want to race on hard pack going where you can drive with a car? Is it because we get beat in snow? We are all the same when it comes to racing in loose snow conditions, we dont win and then complain about it and say "lets go to a road, I bet it will be a different storey"
Best plan would be not to race in loose snow with the RX/RS sleds, you will get beat by smaller cc 2 strokes.
But one other question, Are not snowmobiles supposed to go in snow?

I think what Turk is trying to say is when you have a sled that probably weighs 50-70 pounds lighter, in loose snow and probably has a 1.375 track, you're not gonna hook up as well in a short distance. Traction and getting the weight moving are the issues. On hardpack, the traction will be better and the weight won't be as much of an issue.
