Thought this machine would be way different than my Polaris, but it wasn't. I adjusted to it right a way and put on 374 miles in two days. I like the way it stays in the curves. Throttle was nice and had it going 95 once. Most of the time about 50 to 60. Brakes are not gonna wear out anytime soon. Ride was good too. Bad points included the track slapping & my throttle thumb got really sore. I also chunked up wheels on the inside first 100 1cs said I was keeping up good. thats a strongpoint no oil to add over all i like it pretty good . cg

Hey Pro,
Hey thanks again for the sway bar. I'll get that installed soon.
Her track was so tight, it took some effort just to turn it by hand to run the studs in it. I left it that way because I figured the slides would break in and it would loosen up perfectly. Which it did. My track slaps the rails also. What happens is during the full compression of the suspesion, the track loosens alot then slaps the bottom of the rails. Quite anoying. I do not know anyway of fixing that other than replacing the skid.

I put over 2000 miles on mine so far this year and do not have a problem with track slapping, nor with wheels chunking up. It did take some time to get the suspension adjusted to my liking however. The only annoying noise I have is in the extra hugh moguls the suspension will rebound and really make a loud clunk. At first I thought something was loose/broke but after hearing from others they all seem to do this.

Sorry I was thinking last night I was thinking the proactive skid.I noticed track slapping on all the mono shock skid's I drove.
i just put 140 miles on my new gt, did not notice any track slap. i had mine up to 102 in a field for a bit, not long enough to see if it had any more or not. i put a pic of mine on my post " my new ride". cant wait for next year!!

It only seems to happen hitting larger moguls at slow speeds.

I have the same model as you, except in black. My hands and thumb are sore when I ride it but it's getting better, I guess I was spoiled with Cat's hooked handlebars. Another thing is the windshield, but it's not bad at all, I only didn't like it on my first day riding the sled which happened to be the windiest day of the season. Other than that, I absolutely love the sled.

The 07's have a taller windshield so if the wind bothers you you could replace it with an 07 as the rest of the machine is virtually the same. I like mine as is but I do find you get some wind. I think it is the design and not the hieight. Maybe should have a slight outward curl at the top to deflect the wind upwards and over your head

I'm going to get the tall windshield like the one on the 07. Wind hits just under the helmet. My thumb would get sore and tired also. I would have to hold my wrist up some to push on throttle better. I lossened the lever assemble on the handle bar and twisted it down. It feels like there is 3 detents in handle bar for different positions. Lever is much more comfortable now.

I have found out what that noise is. It is the transfer rod. When it rebounds out, it extends at such a speed that it snaps. There is a little white bushing in there to try and sofen the noise, but not enough. This is what Kevin from Port told me and makes sense.
