My Nytro MTX 40th thread

Can't wait till sunday. Finally sold my MCX Apex and am picking up a 40th Nytro from www.mountaintechbv.com on Sunday morning. I have friends in town so cannot go tomorrow . Sean (the owner) was nice enough to open up for me on Sunday. I will take it for a quick ride and drop it directly off at www.haboost.com

I just went and got my 40th today. It is sweet. I got to put 17 miles on it tonight.

Woke up at 5:15am this morning. I am not an early person but today I had no problem rolling out of bed

Took care of all the paperwork with Sean at Mountain Tech Yamaha in Nathrop CO and headed up to Cottonwood Pass for some break in miles.

Put 25 miles on the sled. I didn't have time to ride and I feel naked without my highjacker snowmobile jack. I got stuck twice (must have thought i was on my Turbo Apex Still) and had to roll the sled out to get going again.

Packed it up and dropped it off at Trey's at High Altitude Boost in Salida CO

Headed home and of course lovely weather around Fairplay

Hopefully by next weekend I can pick up the sled

Which Cottonwood Pass were you at, sledskiing? Sounds like you were near Buena Vista. I commend you for taking 'er apart so young. How many break-in miles do you think is enough before turbo?

I have no idea. I get conflicking views all the time. Once my kit is on i will run LOW boost for a while.

haha well here at yukon yamaha we have built four long track turbos and just pulled them out of the box and put the mcx turbo right on them!~ and all four have over 1000 kms now and not a problem.... but most people have been waiting for at least 500kms before they put on on... i waited and put on 400 just so i could tell people the differance from a stock to a mcx turbo lol....

She's undergone some surgery. Still waiting on a few parts. I'll probably get to installing the TrailTank later tonight. You really need to jam that tank in there.
