It took me a few good whacks with a hammer and chisel to loosen the locknut. I cant imabine riding an apex with the transfer rod adjusted anywhere near the max line. Steering will be almost non existent and the sled will be a handful..wheelies are fun in your yard, they suck when your exiting a corner.

If you have access to a 2nd wrench, hold them together (to essentally make the wrench twice as wide). That will give you much better "bite" on the lock-nut...

What I did on mine is found a deep well socket that just fits over the end of the adjuster tool and put a long extension into the socket. Now you have way more leverage.Be shure that the wrench is on the nut squarely so it doesnt slip.

A lite touch with the air hammer got mine loose

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
Had thought of and done the fingernail thing.
Had not thought of the long socket or two wrench proposals.
Tried the long socket and extra leverage, no good.
I don't have a air hammer or a friend with a 05 0r 06, but good ideas.
I am giving up before I wreck the locking nut. Both this sled and the Warrior will be going in for an oil Change after the first weekend out. Dealer can deal with it then.
I probably would not start adjusting on it until after the dirst weekens ride anyhow.
Tanks again,
Dave
