Hi guys
I have a 2005 rs vector with 400 miles. Now into my second season after finally getting it running do to stail gas the drive belt was fried. After changing the belt I went for run I felt a bad vibration and thud noise, it was like driving on a flat tire on a car. I did not notice this before changing the belt, it rode smoothly. Can someone shed any light on my problem.

Was this a new belt? It sounds like, pardon the pun, that you might have a flat spot in the belt.

I would say something wrong with the belt. Either a flat spot or the belt has been sitting too long in a clip and has devoled a natural bend and is causing the vibration. If the belt has not been used before you could try warming it up in very hot water to soften up the fibres (sometimes works) and then try it.
Next I would check the bearings on the drive axle as they could be shot
Lastlycheck the drive sproket to make sure you do not have a broken sproket
