I bought a new 2014 viper rtx se because I loved the ride and power of my wife's 2014 zr 7000 sno pro ltd. Both sled are awesome they both been running flawlessly! That being said she can take me with her 7000!(her sled is pulling harder)
there is a few factors that comes into play such as she weighs 100lbs less then me, her sled has 300kms more than mine.
Both sled are identical both are the 129 track, she has 6"slim jims I have 8"slim jims, suspension set ups are close both have limiter strap pulled up 1 hole, front skid shock are loosened the same I have 85psi on the skis and she's at 75.
What can I do to redeem my manly hood lol...
I'm planning on purchasing a muffler from sandale and clutch kit
what's a good trail set up?

here's some pics of both sleds

I guess I would start by swapping sleds and see what the weight change does. If she still beats you as bad then it's definitely a sled difference.

Otherwise: During the off season maybe swap body chassis and tunnels with hers? Convince her that she hates the color orange and likes blue so she wants to swap?

lol she love's her orange sled no chance she will swap!!! I wonder if I could swap clutches just to see??

Stock Viper clutch setup sucks, swap out to aftermarket or COTC and see big gains.

So far I'm going to buy the secondary adjuster to run the 8dn belt instead of having to shim the 3 bolts on the back of the clutch(from what I understand that all that is need to run the 8dn right?). From there I'm not sure what to do next.

For clutch kit I went with Ulmer. Very highly tunable with great response. I left the adjuster thing alone. I find that the washer shim deal is plenty easy enough to do for me and it's point blank repeatable.
