Hey well i got and 1 3/4 track and got the dealer to put it on and they said it all went fine. Then after a few hundred kilometers it started ratcheting because it was too loose and now because of that my lugs are starting to rip off. They are ripping in the middle of the lug on the outisde strip of lugs both sides. I then tightend the track as much as possible and its still fairly loose (about and inch or so of slack hanging with no weight). Im starting to get worried now because with the rip in the lugs they cant last much longer. So could someone tell me wether the track or dealer is at fault?? I know i have hit nothing to rip the lugs because the rips all in the same area throughout the whole track. BTW i also have extroverts so i wasnt really expecting even more ratcheting then before. Well i hope you can make sense of this and please help me out here :o|

To have Extroverts and ratchet make very little sense if any. I would say your ratcheting isn't that, it's likely something else. Check chaincase or maybe the alingment (timing) of the extroverts is off. As for lugs ripping off, that would be due to ridding in conditions that the track wasn't designed for, rocks, hard rough ice etc. That or the track is just weak on the durometer. What/when does the "ratcheting" feel/sound like, an inch of free hang is quite a bit but with the extros it still shouldn't be doing that.

Yah i went to the dealer today and they told me the ripping is from riding on hard pack trails/roads ( even though my buddys tracks which are the same are perfectly fine) and that the sound was only the track hitting the tunnel. Personally i feel its more because when i would try to hammer it through the deeper snow i could feel the track slip as well as it hitting the tunnel. But theres nothing i can do anymore seeing how apperently its my vault for the riding conditions so im just going to get as much life out of the track as i can before im forced to go back to the ripsaw.

The ripping in the outside strip is probably from the track smashing against the tunnel protectors. If your not going to run studs you should probably remove them and much of your issues would go away. I would however run the track at just over a drive cog with a free sag below the bump stops.
