Hi All,

I was reading through a number of different threads looking for the info, but could not find anything - doing this for my brother in law, waiting on the sled . . .

Sled - 2010 XTX

Track - we are changing it to a 2"

Gearing - ?????

Primary Clutch Weights - ????? I do not have the elevation chart from Yamaha

Primary Spring - ???

Secondary Setup - ??????

Basically need everything for 8500'+ elevation, trying to get the parts put together in advance so when I get the sled next week I can get it converted. Looking to make the sled work as it should, but not looking to go cray . . .

Thanks

i have a 09 XTX with a 2" track that i run out in the Snowy's.

Gearing: I left mine stock when i switched tracks this fall. Did it to save a little $$ at the time. Didnt have a problem with the way it ran for me.

Primary weights: I run stock weight with all the holes empty. Some people say to leave the riviet in the inner hole to help with back shift, but thats can be personal preferance.

Primary Spring: I run a green/white/green. the chart shows that you can run the stock spring.

Secondary Setup: Never messed with mine, so what stock is that what i run and dosesnt seem to give me any problems

Other Suggestions: Pull the limiter straps up 2 holes to help the aproach angle and trenching. Set the torsion springs to soft, Disconnect the sway bar, and set the top clickers on the front shocks to full soft. the last two will help with being able to throw the sled on its side easier.

oh they been hit hard with the mountain pine beetle, so if the wind gets to blowin hard he needs to be on the look out for any trees coming down. other then that look out for rocks (tough task out there) and tree stumps! I found a stump on my last trip with the sway bar, stopped the sled in its tracks and i flipped over the handle bars.
