Crewchief47 said:I think 3 day is $100, 7 day is $140, season is $250 (unless you buy the season before Dec 1 when it's $200). That all going on my teflon coated memory, so......
An annual pass in MN is $16. I had a MT and a MN pass last year and the two of them combined didn't even equal half what my MB pass was. ....and MB is still half what ON is.

wow... you guys have it good with trail pass prices... $180 early bird price here, then $220 now... mmmm.... back in the 90's it was $90 then the government took over... so there was extra fee's. Quebec is $320 for the year.. but they have trails like i've never seen before!

When we went up into Ontario in January, my buddy was telling me they bought the 3-day $100 pass other years.
When they bought the pass, the guys selling them actually laughed at them. It seemed odd, but I guess they must have just had their local "bush pig" leave his position for that region as he told it.
This year, the two clubs that covered the area were having a dispute and lack of leadership. So the trails had not seen any pre-season work, nor a groomer. At that time, we saw very little reason to buy the pass and took our chances.
This by no means makes it right. But we were using the sleds prmarily to reach his cabin with boggins. And the trails we rode were his personal ATV trails and powerline runs. The railroad beds into town were touched only by pickups. So we felt very little reason to support the clubs.
The new "bush pig" was on duty, but was not patrolling due to the snow they had was all very recent and they had not seen any sled tourists yet.
Please note that the term Bush Pig was used by the locals. As I obviously have much more respect for the Conservation Officers.
If you get up into Ontario and see the amazing trail system, $100 will seem fair. That's assuming they have seen some attention in the region you are heading.
Good luck!

wow. here in sask our trail permits are part of our license plates through sgi (sask government insurenence) its 109 or 119 per sled for the season, which is 3 or 4 months. i have bad memory. haha i cringe everytime i see an awesome, custom painted sled on this site, then see a big trail permit sticker, but thats probly better looking then our licence plates we have to rivit onto our sleds.
