I'm getting ready to install the skid from my XTX into my '06 Apex, and am looking to find information on where to locate the skid in the tunnel. I'm sure I could figure it out on my own, but I'd like to ask for a few pointers!!
Should I just measure from the center of the driveshaft on the XTX and transfer those to the Apex, or should I make changes for the different 'rakes' of the 2 machines?
Thanks for any info!

Yeah, I hit one fo those 't" shaped fence posts burried in the drifted snow between Solon and Sutliff, Paul. It went through the bottom cover, put a small dent/hole in the oil pan, and ruined the cooler. I could replace the pan and cooler and it would be fine, but the deal didn't turn out too bad this way.
My dealer (IC Motorsports) was real good about getting the estimate up there enough to total it since I flipped it end over end twice, but since I had a large claim on it, I may have trouble getting full coverage insurance on it again. I was able to buy this one out, and have enough left to get another one from Port.

Sled really isn't bad. Just had a good, thorough estimate from ICM. Needs an oil pan, a heat exchanger, belly cover and it would be fine. They not picked the estimate enough to get it totalled for me, but it really didn't need to be.

Its all back together and running, just trying to find the time to get the panels painted, and thinking about swapping the skid from the XTX. (Which I will need you to powdercoat to match everything else!!) Can you do it if I bring it by Monday? Pm me or call me if you still have my #.

I think I 've got it figured out. I'm going to use a plexiglass template with reference points for each sled from the driveshaft back, and transfer the factory locations from the XTX to the Apex. The only variable will be the depth of the tunnel, and the "attitude" that I want.
