Need more speed

This post is Real. They are talking about it on Amsnow. Put it to you this way. If your running Trail boost "190 HP". His sled is making 170 hp and if he has it 100% dialed he could beat you. Your warrior does have reverse and and your running the stock Proaction skid right. Plus your heavier then him. Neon Phil weighted his sled last year and it weighted 685 I think with a Expert X skid which is 10 pounds lighter then the proaction maybe 15 to 20 with your proaction being a 136.

I'd up the boost 2 pounds next time.

remember HP doesn't always win Races

I maybe a newbie on here cuz i don't post on this site that often because i don't own a rx-1, but i have been under this screenname for years on totallyamaha and amsnow, jt knows me. Weight and HP isn't the problem here, putting the power to the ground is. Bolting on a turbo to an otherwise stock set up sled will beat 99% of the sleds out there. The problem is that its the other 1% of the sleds that you are racing against at lost pines. I was watching the rx-1 we are talking about here, and he was spinnig for the first 150'. Get your chassis dialed so you are carrying the skis the whole 1000' like the other guys, then get your clutching dialed for drag racing and not trail riding, then go back up there.

I was under the impression the guy on the turbo was jumping the Mach out of the whole. If your spinning and there not your never going to win. SRXracer is Right.

I agree with the arguements, but when you read the original post, it says the Rx took the Z out of the hole and the Z caught him and pulled him the rest of the way. He also states that he beat the other RX Turbos. This would mean that he must have had enough traction to take the Z initially(unless the Z was sleeping) and that it must be somewhat dialed in to beat the other turbos. Perhaps the distance was very short and the race was over before there was time for the turbo to show it's power. I would have liked to be there to see for myself. The turbo guy did say he was new to it. It's possible he hasn't done any clutching, gearing etc. Seems foolish to spend $5000 and not take the time to setup properly and then go out and race.

There was lots of racing going on there, so who knows which races i saw and which i didn't, i do know when he showed up, he had the rear suspension set up as stock, and we all know how well those they transfer weight like that. We did what we could with the yamaha toolkit, but there is alot left there. I saw a flannery 800 xcr put a stompin on the rx-1 too, and i know it dynos at 188, but his chassis is totally setup for racing and is putting the power to the ground. I am also pretty sure that there was at least one Z there that was on NOS. The distance was pretty close to 1000'.

On any giving Sunday Guys!!

Skydog P.S. Some one ALL WAYS FASTER!!!

Did you guys race in the field or just on the road?? Were they starting right infront of the building or back a ways??

Jt How do you suggest getting a turbo rx-1 to hook up short of picks on the ice?? Did you ever find a good set up with your expert for field and road racing??? I can not get mine to stop spinning enough to beat my f-7??? 136" 1 1/4 track with 180 hornets.help

If you are a racer, an experienced one, you will not be surprized when some guy from who knows where shows up and gives you a wippin.... ya know, that mach guy did not win all of his races over the years either... Start tuning!
