I have the same issue. My driveway is exposed agregate. When there is compact snow on the driveway the dolly wheels jam and won't turn. I also have about a 4ft incline over 50ft. I've tried everything other than ez move or horseshoe. I even built a drive on dolly with 10" pneumatic tires at the front and 3" swivel casters at the back but the swivels get jammed over compacted snow and it won't budge. I might try js jacks http://www.jsjacks.com/snowmobile-cart/snowmobile-cart/ Anyone have one?

This is the one I have. A bit inconvenient to put the large wheels on but it works well on my snow packed exposed ag driveway.
The only beef I have with it is that you can not push the sled sideways .
The plus is you can quickly check your skis and carbides or even do an oil change using this lift.

Thanks for the reply. I have 3-4ft incline, do you still think it would be easy to push in the compacted snow? Do you think the rear swivel wheel may get caught up? $300 is a bit much to take chance, so want to make sure.

I have a 30" incline over 50'. It works fine. 90% or so of the weight is on the front wheels.
I usually cheat and drive as close as I can to the garage doors on the packed snow and then pick up the sled with the lift and wheel it in.
