The no trunk thing is a bit bothersome to me. I generally don't carry much with me, maybe a bottle of pop and a tow strap. I need to purchase a bag but don't really want/ need a big tank bag or saddlebags. Any ideas of what could be a good route to go.

I bought a Seattle sports dry bag from REI that when rolled up is 7.5" by 15" wide. I then replaced the bolts that hold the exhaust shroud with longer stainless bolts and washers creating anchors to bungie the bag to the top/ back of the seat. Here is the link to the bag:

Another option if you have an XTX or MTX is to buy Powermadd clutch cover storage case that is made to rivet to your clutch cover. I have seen guys rivet this to the back of their tunnel. I bought one but never installed it because I would have to mod the taillight wire/protector to mount the case flush.

I will post some pictures of both options when I get a chance.

The Klim backpacks are great and I suppose anything about the same size would be good too. You can barely tell you have the pack on and all your stuff goes with you at trail stops. I really wasn't sure I would like a pack, but I'm sold on them now.
I'd avoid Power Ranger and Hello Kitty packs though. Unless you're 6 they're just not cool.

I have the Tank bag and found it to be in the way when riding aggressively. I much prefer the windshield bag.

Do you have this same tank bag? There is one that quite a bit bigger that I thought would be way too restrictive.
Do you have pics of it on the sled?

I bought the tank bag also and hated it cause it was in my way all the time and didn't carry as much as I liked.
On my sled I used a Polaris windshield bag for a wedge . The front windshield straps bolted to the bolts on the side and I passed to small machine screws through the side bags. It gave me alot of room and didn't even know it was there.

Here are some pics of the tank bag and my windshield bag. The shield bag holds twice as much and isn't in the way.

TRY THE GEARS LARGER HANDLEBAR BAG DOES NOT GET IN THE WAY AND YOU HAVE A MAP FLIP OUT POCKET WHEN YOU NEED AND YOU COULD GET A POP AND MAYBE A SMALL TOW STRAP . I HAVE THE 2 SIZES AND THE LARGE ONE IS GOOD AND SOLID AND ONLY 25 $ CAN.

There are two bags in the catalog. One for the stock windshield, and the other is for all accessory windshields short, mid and tall. At least that is what it says.
