looking to buy a new track for my rage. i have a 136x15x1.25 ripsaw on there now and looking to purchase a 136x15x1.5 track. do u know of any websites that i would be able to buy these from. i know of www.tracksusa.com but would like to know if there are anymore.

also anti-ratchet drivers. i plan on purchasing a set of anti-ratchets from wahl bros and do i need to buy a fully clipped track or will every 3rd work? im completely new at changing this out so i'd like to get my facts straight before i start ordering stuff.

Regarding where to purchase, another web site is Sled Track, but I don't have any experience with them. Tracks USA has a good reputation and they are a site sponsor. ;)!

You may want to go through one of the site dealers such as Matt over at The Speed Shop, Kevin over at Port Yamaha, or Rich over at Rich Motor Sports. These guys can talk your through the process, will have all the parts, and support you if you have any problems. They are all site sponsors. ;)!

In terms of which track, you should consider what type of pattern you want more than just the .25 inch height increase. There are about 4 or 5 different patterns to suit your requirements. You got some good advice in your earlier thread www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=28085, but there was no discussion on track pattern. Sounds like you are looking at a general all around track that works well on the trail yet off trail, correct?

The custom Viper I just bought has a 136"x14" Camoplast with 1.5"/1.4" paddles/fingers. It is a #9901 Snocross/Hillcross track. Tracks USA has a picture under Race tracks.

I recently bought a 136x15x1.5 Campolast Intense for my 07 Attak from some random place on Ebay. It beat Tracks USA by about $50 for a brand new one.

Looks far more aggressive with bigger paddles than the Ripsaw for off trail stuff, but I freely admit that I will never be able to offer you a direct comparision between the two, as my 1.25 Ripsaw will never hit the snow....I'll Ebay it as a brand new take-off in early winter to see if I can come close to breaking even on the upgrade.

i will be sticking to a 136x15x1.5 track, since i dont plan on buying an extension or buying a 14" track. im looking for an all around track that will be decent in everything, hopefully. my question is about anti-ratchets. i will be running wahl bros, since i've heard they do very well, but are there any circumstances that need to be met as far as a track. by circumstances i mean fully clipped and different tooth drivers.

I got my anti ratchets from Rich and I like'em. They came marked for alignment and installation, which is a breeze if you have access to a press. ( I actually used the spindle on my radial arm drill press). I did take actual measurements of all the stock drive cogs and found that they were "what I consider" far from perfect spacing from the factory. I could see wear marks where the track was climbing on 2 of the factory drivers. I put 2500 miles on the 1.5" Ripsaw and I have no complaints as the track still looks like brand new. "IF" We get a monster snowfall season next year I will consider the 16"x136"x1.75" skidoo track but I will pull the long tunnel protectors if I do. No third window closed tracks..all the windows must be open with anti ratchets. Good luck Pimped. ;)!
