Tim Barker has been doing exhaust for a long long time and I don't doubt there is a power gain but 12hp seems extreme. I'll need to see the Dyno on that one as i'm sure many of my fellow TYers do!

I do not believe that this slip on will make 12hp....not when full header systems are making that...the stock header is very restrictive...a slipon is not going to get you that kind of gain....maybe 4hp out of it but I doubt it will even come close to 12hp

sure would be great deal...but if Excell, Hindle, Aaen are getting 10 to 14 hp out of FULL header/muflers combos with fuel programmers...how is Barker getting 12 out of a slipon? If it's true then I will also believe you can get 25hp out of a chip..like the ones advertised on Ebay....big gains like that do not come that easy...3-4 hp maybe...at best. Also factor in the noise reducer...that will rob a couple of HP.

You know what's really funny? On the Barker website, it states that the price is $349, down from $400, for a savings of $59?
With gooder math skills like that, no wonder he can make that claim of 12 horsepower.

Aw crap, I take it back. I shall blame this on my computer monitor at work.

I know when I email on a price he told me $450. This was way before he had any pricing on his website. At least it sounds like the price came down. To bad it melts the plastics on your machine.

Thats why the price came down, for when you do melt your plastic the money you saved can be used to buy more plastic!!!

melted my plastic too, just the round piece where the exhaust tip sticks out.Was easily fixed by just rounding out the hole of the plastic bigger with a dremel. No problems now and you couldn't tell if you didn't know what to look for. By the way, everyone loves the sound of this exhaust. 2 strokers rubber neck like crazy. Cant' give you any numbers but there is a seat of the pants difference, i've been running this for about 600 miles now. I'm keeping it.

Glad you're happy with it HRD2PLZ. But 12hp is hard to believe. If Barkers would show everyone the dyno results, from an independant tester of course, we would all stop crying and probably order one ASAP.

I thought there dyno results were 8 hp. Then with a programmere is where they were seeing 12 hp.
