Id love to buy and RR it seems though as if im married to this RTX i feel the same my buddy just has routine maintince done to his he has 3500 Miles on it no prblmes mine went back with 130,170, and 333 now for the A Arms. Maybe an RR next year Theu didnt Make an RR for 09 Did They????? Id also like to point out that my buddy beats the #*$&@ out of his, Jumps It, Ditchbangs, hill Climbs through the trees and hes never bent ne thing just broken Plastic haha and His gauge does not work but over all held up great.

They sell -09 RR in Sweden! Im sure it is a great ditchbanger sled.
But i dont want to mix oil in the gastank and cange jetting every time i go to the mountains!
Feels like going back to the 90:s

You know what this means?? All the wanna-be's piss-pounding theirs & then whining when it's bent or broke, you did it to yourself. You don't own a race sled, you own a consumer look-alike.

Though, you have to admit that it would be quite interesting to read the comments on this forum if Yamaha did actually sell the Pro Open race sled. Just to see what all "wannabees" say when their hyfax is melting off after a mile. Or when they are freezing their fingers off after two miles. Or when the engine is overheating after three miles. Or when they are pissing blood after riding the overly stiff suspension calibration for four miles. Because that is exactly what is going to happen if you ride a proper Pro Open sled on the trail. Winning a Pro Open race and being the local trail hero have had nothing in common for the last ten years...

I did notice the fuel cell, yes. Kinda odd isn't it?? Tells me the engine is even more centralized on the race sled & no need for the extra weight of fuel to be centered?? Just a thought.

Once again, nothing in common with our sleds.

I seem to remember that they are using an exhaust system that is running on top of the (custom-) tunnel, all the way from the engine. This exhaust / tunnel combo might be part of the reason for the relocated fuel cell.

Just Curious is there People Sayiing Riding And RTX Is just like Riding a snocross sled............ Because anyone with any commmon sense knows that they are riding nothing even close to a race sled....... Just think about it for gods sakes

That's the problem & where you're partially wrong. People buy a "rough trail machine" and assume they can play Steve Taylor with it and romp the crap outa it & it shouldn't bend or break. This IS some people's idea of normal trail riding. Which obviously is not the truth.

Also, there isn't much common sense when it comes to some people not realizing there is a difference between a race & consumer sled. Unless you get right down in the pits and know what you're looking at, most people assume if it looks like a dog & barks like a dog, it must be a dog. The general public is a bunch of idiots, plain & simple.

As I've posted before on other threads, there is something to the fact of a magic angle of impact when the skis are turned that is bending parts. But, the vast majority is from a beat down or hitting a solid object. Thats' the facts & truth.
