My new personal best this morning 117 Mph/189 Km'h :Rockon: (GPS 112mph) forgot to look at my RPM's
conditons were -6, hard crusty lake snow, light north wind.

All stock, Med sheild, 114 Studs 265lbs rider..... 1860miles on the XTX
I'm still trying to crack that 190km mark and I know its now posible once condition improve.. :-o

Good job dude.. That brings me hope...
 
That's awesome! I doubt I'll get another chance to try mine, although, if I get a trip out this weekend I know of a lake where it's possible. Stay tuned,lol.
 
thats great to hear, those are great conditions for topping it out, that crusty snow really gives it a good hook up. I was able to hit 110 mph on the speedo on my last trip, so i cant wait till next year to get more miles on her. You lucky Canucks i wish i could still ride yet, poor sleds been in the garage for a moth already.
 
Hey Danrello, you know Doug Hanson, (he's a dentist)? He bought my Apex and is from Sudbury and has an Apex turbo. I believe he blew it up, but was in the process of repairing it.

Nope, but he should hook up with us....were still lake running with an apex RTX, APex GT, Apex GT MCXpress turbo and my XTX.

My XTX has the same top end as the RTX, but the GT is always about 4mph faster...
 
My friend has been working on setting up a Nytro for next years Soo I-500. He told me they were getting 118 on the ice track they set up on a local lake this winter. We never talked about what he did to get those speeds but he was pretty excited about his chances next year. Says maybe they'll put Yamaha back on top of the podium next year. ;)!

I don't think I've ever seen 100 mph on the speedo of my Nytro.
 
The XTX has alot more top end from what I have been reading. Got mine too late and no snow to try it...

I have another friend who had a 08 shorty last year and a 09 xtx this season and he said the same thing. He was seeing higher numbers on the speedo of the xtx.
