Nice job Ken. I had the same idea as what you did, my turbo was just put there as mock up since i still had oil lines connected, not sure where ill mount it just yet. i'm pretty conservative when fueling my sleds i rarely make a mess but your right ones gotta watch a fire could break-out pretty fast with the heat just below.I built my own system a few years back. I put the turbo the other direction than what you have yours set at.

I was worried about having this much heat directly under the gas tank so I built some heat shields. You have to be real careful when fueling so you don't spill any gas because it will get down around the hot turbo.

Been alittle while since the last update but progress is coming along, ended up making myself a log style header for time being so i can continue working on getting the rest of the sled done when come back and make a stainless. Was lucky enough to find a 06 apex being parted out locally and grabbed the reverse chain case from it and got that installed. Next was to look at keeping this sled a 162 or downsize to a 151.

Putting the 2 tracks side x side there was little difference in length and that holz skid would look better under my rev 800 anyway at 151 length. So I pulled apart my mod sled and robbed the M-10 with the 141 track and did quick test fit, prefer this length much more and looks like it gonna be a 141 going forward. Now it onto installing a M-1o under this rx1 and modify the tunnel length to suit.
