Quick question on new gd drive axle... the old axle had a bunch of cogs. New one inly has two extrovert drivers... is this normal? Also old axle had some rings with set screws on the outside of the last drive cog. Is this something I need to put on the new axle?

You only need the two, so its right. And for the clamps you dont need them but I still use them.

I did
LOL, Ya Apex 06 had his drivers get loose....only one that I have heard of. The extro drivers are really tight on the HD shaft(press fit), so no additional locking collars are needed.
Hey 06, did you ever figure out how they got so loose??? Where they installed and removed priar to you getting them installed?? Just curious.

They both had a few cracks in them(only two years old) sad. Ywou could move them by hand, so I order a HD shaft rightway. That was the frist time I have seen a set move. Now if we could get snow.

You only use the two drivers now that drive in six locations total (stock drivers only drive in 4 locations).
You do not need the rings with the set screws and your OEM ones will no longer fit on the HD axle (size difference of 1.0625" to 1.25").
