Just added some pics in my signature, the kodiak S.E. is my Fathers and the Grizz S.E. is all mine, almost!.......Irv

Nice pics Irv. Do you find that the stock tires on your Grizz work ok? I'm kind of thinking about replacing mine already.

Thanks Ganz, the tires work ok i guess? I don't have any experience on aftermarket ones but everybody says it is like night and day and you will never go back? I plan on upgrading this spring or sooner? I am so confused on what to buy! It is mind boggling with all the choices out there, i am however leaning pretty strongly towards the Mudbugs? They sound like a tire designed for my type of riding? I am also considering the Kenda Bearclaws, mudlites, 589's, Bi-tri claws, Bighorns etc, do you see what i mean? Very hard decision! I guess what ever i buy it will be better than stockers?..........Irv

I know what your saying Irv. I'm waiting till next summer. Little short on $$$$ after buying the beast. Just gonna ride it for now, but I am thinking ahead. 8)

I had 26" Dirt Devils on my 00 Grizzly and loved them. We don't have a lot of mud around here so I chose them. They are not super aggresive and did a great job for me. I ordered a set of 27" for the new Griz and the front ones are on serious back order. Been two months now :o| I wish Green Ball Corp would get their s #$%&* together.

Irv,

You're right, it's a tough decision, I'm running 26" Dirt Devils on one and 26" Mudbugs on the other.

The 'bugs work well for mud holes and such but tend to vibrate like a tractor on hard surface and even cause the machine to bounce at speed.

The DD's are a really good all-around tire that seems to even make the machine ride and handle more comfortably than stock which was exactly what I wanted for my wife. The lugs don't clean out as well as the bugs in mud holes but they do a reasonable job of getting through anyway.

Hope this helps.

Thanks sleddersteve, that is some good info! I definately don't want a rough ride! I will have to look into those dirt devils? Can you tell me who makes them? I will have to check and see if i can get them in Canada easy enough?.........Irv

look in royal distributing they can get almost everything

They are made by GBC. Green Ball Corporation. I sure wish my front ones would come in. Smooth ride, very little extra noise, decent traction, and no flats. (6 ply)

Thanks Clutch, i will have to look into those! they look like a decent tire. Does anybody know how they work in the snow?.....Irv

Mine worked good in the snow on my 00 Grizzly. The stockers work excellent because they won't bury you very fast. On a side note my oldest son had Blackwaters 12x12 all the way around on his Grizzly and they were terrible in the snow. One flick of the throttle and it was on the belly pan.
