New rear axle wheels

Does anyone know if we could just replace the rear axle wheels from a 2010 apex onto the 2006 axle? My wheels break apart every year.

Yeah they are all the same shaft diameter and wheel size I don't know that there is any diff between 06 & 2010

I doube check if the 2010 Yamaha rear wheels will fit older models. I thought I read Yamaha beefed up the rear axle for 2010. So I'm assuming there using 6205 bearings (1" ID) in the rear in stead of the 6004 bearings (0.75" ID) .

Can some one confirm.

YEP '10 have a LARGER rear axle using LARGER bearings they will NOT fit '09 and older... :exc:
