I'm new to this site and would like some info on my new sled. I just picked up my new 07 rtx . I weigh about 170 and like to ride pretty hard once in awhile.Pretty much just trail riding up north in wisconsin. Im interested in any input any of you guys would have for setup for this sled. Im planning on keeping it stock as long as I can. Best combination for accurate steering with least amount of darting. Front floats Ibs, center shock setting (possibly # of threads or length from bottom thread to collar), rear cam position, and coupler nuts position. Do you think I'll need botoming stoppers on this skid for my weight. This sled is put together better than anything I've seen in a while. Great yamaha attention to detail. I ride with 07 rev, so i hope to be able to keep up with in the woods. Thanks for any info you guys could give me.

cANNOT SPEAK FOR ANYONE BUT MYSELF, BUT I FOUND THE SWEET SPOT FOR MY 07 TO BE STARTING AT THE FRONT, 40-50 LBS ON THE FLOATS, 13 MM SWAYBAR, NOT SO TIPPY, LOOSENED THE FRONT SKID SHOCK 1/4", PULLED THE LIMITER STRAP UP ONE HOLE, HELPS WITH SOME MORE SKI PRESSURE, HAVE THE TORSION SET AT H, I GO 200-205 LBS,THE CONTROL ROD NUS ARE SET TO ALMOST FULL MAX, THREE TURNS FROM BOTTOMED OUT. OH YEA I'M RUNNING 8" BERGSRTOMS WITH NO SAVERS BUT THE 1/4" SHIMS. NEXT SEASON WILL BE PILOTS OR SLYDOGS, AND HAVEN'T DECIDED ON WHICH CLUTCH KIT. IT'S GONNA BE A LOOOONG SUMMER  :4STroke: DOUG aNOTHER THING I DID PUT ON THE BOTTOMING STOPPERS AND THEY WORK.

Hey thanks for the info Blue Oval. That should give me a good starting point fo next season. I've got to ask if going up on the limiter isnt to extreme for a sled with so much weight up front,or is it needed for accurate steering. I'm coming off an 04 F7 that steered terrible stock. I backed off center shock preload and tightened front shocks, witch made it turn well, but darted something fierce. Finally bought SLT skis and they pretty much solved all steering issues. Hopefully dont have to go aftermarket with this sled. Also what number of clicks are you guys running in rear shock. Has anyone had any luck with doolies on the yamaha skis. I had an 98 XTC 700 before the cat and I'm glad to back on yamahas.

As for the clicker sorry I forgot that? I have it set at 4 clicks from full hard. the limiter helped ME with skis that felt too loose. Conditions were to blame too all season. I hear duallys help with some guys but i personally love the bergstroms triple points and , savers and the 1/4" shim. good luck, there is a wealth of info on TY. Doug
