Hi All,
I just bougth a 2003 rx1 that had a polaris m10 136 rear skid installed. Went for my first ride this weekend and after about 120miles the front torque arm broke in half and snapped the shock shaft along with it. The m10 seems really heavy, and I can't say I was really impressed with it's performance anyways.

I have access to an sc5 skid or going back to a warrior rear skid for about the same money. Knowing the polaris is supposedto be an upgrade for the rx1 I don't think I want to go back to that. I see some have installed the sc4 but no one seems to have the sc5...

Also after about 2 hours of riding the oil warning ligth came on, i added oil but it would come back after a little while. Is this a level or pressure or both warning? I doubt I have pressure issues since I was stuck nowhere near a road and kept riding hard for about 1h30 with it on and no sound or loss of performance. Does the switch go wrong?

Thanks!

The oil switch as a general rule does not go wrong. That's not saying that it cant go wrong though anything man made can go South. Check the wiring clip that is on top of the oil filler cap dipstick.

I have your sled and skid. The m10 is far superior to stock. Its takes some messing with to get the ride right. If it were me, I would repair it if you like smooth ride. If you want lightness, it really wont make a bit of difference in a RX1 for the trail. I can run big or small moguls at top speed or very slow, I LOVE my M10!
