Picked up my new Apex XTX yesterday
What a sweet ride!
It is parked next to a 2008 Apex. At first glance, the body looks the same. A closer look and every panel on it is different.
The exhaust sound is awsome. Throttle response noticable more snappy. Drove it a very short distance to get to the garage and the power steering was very easy. Forgot about it and was expecting it to steer hard in the grass and got a surprise.
With XTX skid, it really sits high. Was a little worried about the front shocks with no clicker adjustment but, they seem fairly plush.
Can't wait to try this beast out. Plan to ride it half of this winter all stock to see what it's like then, let the mods and tweeks begin
Someone on this sight wrote a post a year or two ago that said you can actually leave a snowmobile alone....no mods. I'm confused: I thought that is what snowmobiles were made for

Congratulations on your purchase of the best sled on the market!! I was at a swap meet last weekend and checked out the new "sled of the year" and was talking to another Apex guy who had the opportunity to ride the 2011 SE sled at the end of last winter. He simply thought it was awesome and would not stop raving about the sterring and added power felt, He said he was giggling the entire time riding in the woods as he never would have thought the power steering add was such a big deal. He would have never have thought it was worth the new price tag but after he got off it, he was convinced he was going to purchase one this year.
Any pics of your new ride?

Congrats on the new sled. I just got one last Thursday. What color did you go with? I can't wait to ride the sled. My impression is it is going to be a stronger more powerful version of the Vector GT LTX. The power steering is going to make weight a non issue for aggressive trail riding. I was thinking of going with either 124 or 171 studs. 171 sounds like a lot but traction is traction and the more of it is a good thing.
