i wished they groomed around here every 2-3 days -we are lucky if we see groomed trails once a week - the worst ones are the state maintained trails.

You ought to live around southern, MN. Down by my Dad's the last three years I HAVE BEEN CALLING the DNR on the trails association for NOT GROOMING. I realize there are mostly farm fields the trails cross, but they wait until all the snow is in the ditch and then claim...."well there is not enough snow to groom".....to the DNR officials. If they'd get off their rears and groom immediatley the snow would pack down and then it wouldn't all blow away. In the meantime the inner group of the trails association are pocketing the $$$ from Grants 'n Aids and doing who knows what with the cash. ( I have heard many rumors) They used to have to document hours of work, hours on the groomer, gas receipts...etc...now they get a lump sum check with little oversight.
