Taking sled on trip to UP without being able to test. I do like easy steering, but still in control. Have Viper with limiter out, control rods set to full x-fer and like the way it handels with six inch carbides and no studs. The RTX has 144 studs. Any help with setup is greatly appreciated. for first ride..you might just want to be sure to carry the PUMP for floats...

I found that the single biggest thing my first day was the tippyness....I lowered the front end to where the A arms are LEVEL with ground and that was it...it handled alot better right away.

if you really want it to rail in corners then add the 13mm swaybar and pilot skis complete the front end package.

break it in hard too(ala motoman)...then it will be a fast one.

I believe i tightened my strap one hole ....I run my rod pretty loose as I like to get a decent hole shot...I used to have to tighten it up to help the skilift in cornering but with the 13mm swaybar and lowered front end I can run it looser again.

skis also mean alot in the nice fron handling thoery.

limiter strap

Anyone running with their strap completely let out (strap being the longest), ski pressure being the lightest and how is the handling?

I have straps at full let out and transfer at full. I like the ride this way. It is totally based on how you like to ride. I do notice I have to let off the throttle a little more to turn, but that is cause I like the skis in the air between corners LOL If you like to "ride the rails" this setup would not be optimal.
