hey guys, so been looking a lot and finding a lot of information but not finding just what i'm looking for. I am buying a 2006 RS Nytro and from what i have herd the suspension is the same as a 2007 Apex RTX, i would like to make it a 151 or 153 but don't think it is going to plausible with my budget and time before winter so 144 it is. i was wondering if any of you Apex RTX have used the muffinworks 144" rail extensions? i think they are kinda long and don't want to be down for repairs all year. i have read of guys putting in the extension to make 136" and moving the skid back 3.5 inches to get 144 but have seen people say it will bind. my main goal is to get it to 144 with 2 or 2.5 inch paddle so i am aware of taking off the Tunnel protectors and putting on 8T extroverts but from there i don't know what i can do to accomplish the 144 as there are a million different ways of doing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced.

so replying to my own thing before anyone says anything, but i would like to see if someone can confirm a couple things. just looking at the part list for the nytro and the 2006 Apex mountain, from what i have read yamaha part numbers that are in this form XXX-XXXXX-XX-XX means the first three are the model, the middle five are the actual part, the 2nd last two are if any changes have been made( so if 01 it means there was a design change) and the last ones are the color. so all the pivot arms and and shocks have the same middle 5 number and the tunnels have the same middle 5 numbers but the Apex Mountain would come with the extensions and extra supports. so in theory then rails from a 2006 Apex Mountain should mount to the 121 pivot arms and that and should mount in the tunnel cause they are the same pivot arms, so there should be a location to mount them the same way on either sled. can anyone help me confirm this? i called my yamaha dealer and he said in theory it should work but isn't 100% percent sure.

Not really sure if I am helping you here but I took my expert x suspension 121 and extended it to a 144 with no problems. my suspension had a little bit of damage on it so I had to do some fab work to make their stuff fit. I don't recommend owing the suspension back at all.
