Had the pleasure of picking up a 2010 Vector GT. :jump:

Bought from 'Pat' sometimes on this site, great guy and sled is MINT.

I am a long time yamaha and TY guy. (98 XTC duluxe 700 & 600, Apex 06 -12k miles; and Venture GT 2011)

Some ?'s

Need new carbides, prior dualies show severe bias toward front wear. So do I try the new yamaha ski's on this beauty or carbides, ski saver and shim like the Apex (handles well).

I plan to stud down the center with 96 in classic V pattern ~1.4" any need to go 144 to trail ride?

What do people tend to set the transfer Rod at. I have the Apex toward min and it still carries the ski's well, low but unweighted.

Any other tips for a Yamaha guy new to Vector. I think it will be like my Apex with the Venture motor should be a good combination.

I just traded my '10 Vector GT. Had Woody's 4" duallys and 96 1.325 studs down the middle. Transfer rod stock setting. Sled was on a rail and handled awesome! I had a Hauck trail silencer and an Ulmer clutch kit on it and it definitely woke it up. I would look into clutching! Not that there was a problem with the stock but the Ulmer set-up made the sled more fun on the trails, especially low to mid range. I will miss the sled a lot but the deal I got on my new apex I couldn't turn down. Have fun with it, it's a great fun sled!! You will not be disappointed! :yam:
