was just woundering what i have to do to my sled to store it over the summer is there anything special i have to do

Well i have the long list. but to keep it to what i think is top 10.(this is up for debate) Here you go.

#1 grease everything that has a nipple on it. Then every bearing that dosen't have a nipple on it(Secondary clutch bearing, speedo bearing, all suspension bearings)pop seals clean with wd40 a little compressed air to remove water old grease water ect. then repack them and put seal back on.
#2 Fuel stabilizer in tank run. To leave tank almost empty or all the way full. that is the question.Flip a quarter.Me i leave it full to the top.(cuz that was the way i was raised) others will drain down to last couple of liters.(cuz thats the way they where raised)I have never heard bad on either way. half tank bad idea.
#3 Engine oil warm engine change oil and filter.(cause the filter is
only $15.00) When you remove the oil from the oil reservoir tank remove the 90degree fitting on the bottem of the tank and clean screen.Don't lose the o ring on the end. and don't lose the copper wacher on the drain bolltes from engine and tank.
#4 Gear case oil. change it. if you have reverse the word is fill it to the standard (none reverse trany) mark.on the dip stick not the revers mark.
Why i don't know. But its what the majority of use do on this site and know problems.
#5 Clean it if its dirty.
#6 to fog or not to fog. Lots of people i talk to start there machines on a monthly or 3 week basses throught the summer months and don't use fogging oil (gives yu a chance to roll trak and relube gears). If you subscribe to this great just remember to bring it to operating temp so their is know moisture build-up from a quick on off cycle. i like to see the moisture gone from the tailpipe openings before i shut it down. If you are leaving it some where that you won't be touching it or might forget it, fog it. oil in the upper engine has yet to my knowledge caused engine degridation.
#7 battery care optimate 3 or equivelent to keep it charged up.
#8 hit all stearing components with a good penetrating lube(from bares to skis.
#9 Do the egsaust donout check with a pair or leather glovers(if you fog the engine do this first) to check for leakage at y joints.attend to if need
#10 touch up any rust on the skid with paint and hit anything that looks like it might rust with penitrating oil.

Those are my top 10

And if you are wondering about any of what i have said above you can do a search and find indepth details on everything

HERE ON TY4STROKE.

Don't forget to give it a kiss goodnight.
