(New to Yamaha and the Forums) 33 34 35 fault codes

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to Yamaha and the Forum and just wanted to get things started with a question.

Just bought an FX Nytro from a friend and it's having a few problems.

1. He said every once and a while it was getting 33, 34, 35 all at once then turning off---manual says coils, but how all at once?

When I drove it into my shop it was getting an engine light and it was turning off(no codes)---I'm going to clean all the connectors, and look for shorts, then try from there.


As for the 33, 34, 35---someone said the battery could be bad, but anyone else have an idea.

Shows as faulty ignition, bad primary lead on all 3 coils.
If you look at the top of the topics you will see a FAQ section there. It has most specs.

Just had the same issue i am sure you have your s fixed but could not find much info. If your sled starts showing these codes randomly 33 34 35 there is a wire right at the crank sensor that rubbs through. There is a yamaha bulletin out for this.

had this on my nytro and it was the crank sensor.

We had this too and it turned out to be the ECU was going bad, After we repaired the areas that the wire harness rubbed through put a new(used) ECU in it and the sled never did it again

My buddies 08 did this once in a while and then got to the point that it would no longer start

try by passing tors i did not get code 84 only got 33 34 35 machine sometimes would quit i by passes tors at both ends and have not had a problem with those codes since or any others there are two wires on left side a single black and a single white plug black into white at top and black into white at bottom there is enough wire to do this without any mods i was haveing this problem for about 2 weeks check all other possible wire issues and sensors

finally found the cause for 33 34 35 CRANK SENSOR after i spend 430 at dealer for nothing and then bought a complete wiring harness it was crank senor paid 118 CND

I replaced the crank sensor, speed sensor, cleaned up all the connections and dissabled TORS(all at once)

Got 100 miles on it with no codes yet. Everything seems to be running good. Not turning off for no reason, and no warning lights.
