I bought a 2012 VK Pro RS with 300 miles on it from my local university. It was used for a climate study and sat under a cover since 2017. It’s in great shape, but I’m going through it now since the fuel was crap and it appears the carbs will need a good cleaning.

My dumb question is the brake lever assembly. Someone set the lever up so it’s just about pointing down. I want to adjust it up, but I can’t figure out how to get the plastic switch housing off on the front. There are two screws on the bottom. I have removed one, but the other one looks like the head has been broken off. However, it appears to have yellow paint on it similar to the inspection paint used for QC inspections at the factory. Does it need to come out to get the switch housing off? Appreciate the help.

Never mind. Fixed. Looks like the factory didn’t cut the threads in the block well and some assembly line gorilla broke off the head.
