I've got a 2009 LTX GT and was a lil cold with the stock windshield so I bought the 16' one ( part # SMA-8ft96030-bk ) and man was that sucker was huge it came with support bars too . no way am I drillin holes into the body of my new sled ....From looking at the catalog I figured that the stock windshield was the med 14 '' so the 16 seemed a logical upgrade but when I overlaid the stock shield over the new there was a 6" difference ...called Yamaha and they were stumped need to call me back ( so much for a product specialist LOL) ..... always found better support right here ...help me out boyz!
Antpal22, I made the same mistake,, dealer told me the original windshield on my '09 vector was 13" so I figured 3" more would be just great and I found the same thing the supposedly 16" one (same part # as yours) was 5" higher then the stock and too hi to fit in my trailer so I had to cut 3" off the top. I will be interested to see what you find out from Yamaha. I sure wish you had made the mistake before I ordered my windshield haha Pol
