Has anyone seen the Special edition Yamaha's released today. The sport qauds look great with the Yellow and black paint scheme. When I heard that they were releasing some new units I was hoping that they would have has a 800 grizzly. Oh well my Grizzly is great the only way to improve upon it is a little larger CC's.

Personally, I'm glad they didn't come out with a new Grizzly as these Yamahas are like drugs to me, I'd have to have one.
Happened to me two years in a row now with snowmobiles. Last year I bought a new Rage 3cyl to replace my '03 RX1 4cyl. I was all happy and thought it was so much better than even the '05 RX1's even though it didn't have the HP or top speed, bla-bla-bla.
So what happens then? Yamaha announces the '06 Apex to replace the RX1, Mr. Sled invites me to go along to ride the proto-types and I'm hopelessly hooked. My oh so sweet Rage is not so sweet anymore and I just gotta have me a new Apex.
That being said, I'm still quite happy with my '04 Raptor and have no desire to trade it for a black and yellow 700 EFI, thank you very much.
Yes, I have an addiction but I figure it's better than being addicted to black tar heroin.

I saw the SEs, I like 'em.
I see they came out with a Wolverene 450 4x2 as well. Thats cool.
Sleddersteve, I hear you about the new Yammies being like drugs.
Its good for me that I cant afford to buy new toys all the time, 'cause Id be getting a Yamaha every year. LOL
I demo rode a Vector last year and Im not at all kidding when I say that if I could have afforded it, I would have wrote Yamaha a check right then and there and would have took that sled home with me!

CaptainToyota I grew up in Edgerton also. Not in WI but in Alberta Canada. My father in law has a turboed RX-1(260 hp) that he rides in Revelstoke BC all the time and this thing rocks. My other buddy has the same setup with close or a little more than 300 hp. If yuo take part in the FOurstroke forum you may know my bud as RED. Here is a pic of both machines. The black and red one is REDs and the white and blue is my Father in laws.http://sledrevelstoke.com/v-web/gallery/mod_sleds/Dec_27_Boulder_lot_052
Here is a pic of the father in laws custom tunnel and suspension http://sledrevelstoke.com/v-web/gallery/mod_sleds/Yammies_004

Those turboed RX-1s are insane. Id love to merely have a STOCK RX-1 or RS Vector but at this point I cant justify spending that much money on something I can only use a few months out of the year.
Thats why Im moving to quads: much longer riding season.

Rumor has it that they will release a new Griz in the spring.
700efi with a new automotive type transmission. Would like to see a 800efi but some of the 800's are hard a gas, which is a pain when you are out there and the next fuel stop is still 30 or 40
miles away. Just hope the 700 makes enough hp to make it worth while to upgrade from the 660.
Honda just released info on their new 700efi Rincon for 06, so
I have to believe the Rumor and it came from a good source.
