As of this morning, I am the proud owner of a new 07 Phazer. The dealer was great to deal with. Most of the hour+ that I was there, I spent it with one of the mechanics going over everything on sled. Told me that if needed something, call him and he would help me out. I got home and there was enough snow to ride up and down the street. MAN. My buddy, who rides a Viper, was impressed. Thanks to Totallyamaha and you guys for sharing your thoughts. I was able to quiz the dealer on the updates/recalls/etc. All have been done except the link. It is replaced as you break it...? The dealer also installed snow shields. Said it was part of the updates. Now its time to sell my 00 mxz500. It has been a darn good sled, but after last weekends trip, I decided I needed to upgrade. Sorry about rambling on, but...

Welcome to the site and have fun!
Welcome to the site.I think it take a little while to get use to the Phazer. I found that I liked it more and more each time I rode it.I did 170 mi yesterday, it was perfect.

I like it too...it was hard getting used to the upright position, even tho' I used to ride my 1990 Phazer in kind of the same fashion.
Last week before my link broke I traded machines with a buddy of mine who has an older Indy 500 Classic, what a difference! I felt like my knees were jacked up under my arms, and kept hitting them every time I tried to turn or use some body language...I much prefer the Phazer riding position now.
Have Fun,
Rick
