Well i went to 2 dealers today. One i had a hold on an 06 Appex ER candy apple red. I looked it over. Looked good. The sales person i talked to on the phone said they wanted $8999 but to make an offer.

So after looking i go find the salesman i was told to talk to. I offer $8500 and i would take the sled today. He was nice and seemed like he would make the deal but he had to go ask his boss. He came back and said sorry $9065 is the best i can do. So basically 9 for the sled and a $65 doc fee. I was a little disappointed because the lady i had been talkin to said make an offer. Why tell me to make an offer when you wont even accept anythign other than your sticker??? So anyway we talked for a minute and i politely said im sorry thats a little more than i wanted to spend. So i looked around at a Vector and Nytro.

My dads boss was with us who is an artic cat guy and he usually buys fromanotehr guy in NH so he was liek ahh we'll hit up him on the way home.

As we were about to drive away the sales man comes out can i talk to you offers me the sled for $8665 but i couldnt do 0/0/0 promo. I had to do the 7.9% for 2 years then it jumps up. IMO this is a waste because i would spend the extra on interest. My whole plan with the 0% was pay it off this year or come damn close and pull a small low interest loan out to pay it off.

I politely told him, sorry i came in here expecting $8500 0/0/0 I will have to see if your offer works for me.

So i go to the next guy play the game. He doesnt have a candy red appex er but he has a blue one. Couldnt do much with the 0/0/0 but he said cash or other financing you can have it for $8000. My only problem with the blue one was first it was blue didnt like the blue as muvh as the red and 2nd his sleds were pretty dirty. Tracks were muddy along with the wheels, polished tunnels werre all dulled out, hood had a blemish. I considered it but said id really liek a red which he didnt have so he said. Well how bout a GT???? Got my interest $8900 out the door on the GT cash or other financing.

My question to you all is what should i do.

1. Go back to the first guy with the red and say listen i can get the same sled for $8000, make that deal and i'll go with your financing you offered. I would even offer a little more $8265 because it is the color i want and cleaner.

2. Take the Blue Appex ER anyway for $8000 even tho I dont like the color as much and its dirty and the hood is a little screwy.

3. Take the Black Appex GT for $8900

or

4. Call the guy with the candy apple red one and say listen. Give me a an 07 Black Appex ER for dealer cost. $9100 and give me current 07 promo of 3 year warranty on engine, $400 in gear, and 0/0/0.

He might not go for the last option but you never knwo if he wants to keep me as a customer he might. Keep in mind I would need all new gear and stuff. More than the $400 given. If he gives me the deal he knows i'll buy all my stuff from him. So techincally they make no money on the sled, but they lose none either. They gain a customer and profit on accesories.

Apexs listed with buy-it now price on ebay for 7687. That delaer is way high for this time of year! Personally, I would go for lowest price and forget the 0%.

I'm going to call him back tuesday when they open and offer him the $8000 and take the 7.9 financing for 2 years if he will go for it on the Candy apple red ER.

Do those numbers also include sales tax? GT for 8900 out the door is a great price. The best price I've found is 9100 out the door.

YS

yes that is out the door. No taxes because I am buying the sled out fo state in NH. NH doesnt have sales tax anyway.

I'm surpised you havent done any better. I saw you were in Kalamazoo. I came across Leaders Marine website and they had great prices!!!!

For that price I'm really considerying the GT. Like people said its just the suspension. The front shocks are nice because they are rebuildable. To replace the front and rear shocks on the sled is $1600. $1000 for the rear and $300 a piece for the fronts. I'm just having a hard time justifying spending $8900 on a sled, then gear. Especially with winters we have now.

I bought an 05 Ski-Doo from leaders. Anthoney was my salesman. They have great prices on all sleds but they dont sell Yamaha's sleds only outboards. Their is a used 06 Apex er at J & J Sales in Huron Ohio for 8000.00 and it has less than 500 miles on it. They also have good prices on new 06 stock. Ask for Joe Bibb. 800-775-2754

LT1, So when you register the sled in MA., you don't have to pay sales tax?

Leaders does have some appealing pricing, but as said above they don't carry Yamaha sleds.

YS

Oh yeah i forgot they dont sell Yami's. Yeah if i decided to register the sled in MA i would have to pay the sales tax but im not going to. There really arent m any places to ride in MA. Maybe a couple radar runs every year.MOst of the places to ride arent legal to ride snowmobiles and ATV's so its not really worth spenging all the money on sales tax and registration. I'll register in NH and Maine. Maine is $60 I dont know how much NH is.

LT1, Do you have to have an address in NH to register sleds? If not, I would think it would have to be registered in the state you live legally for insurance etc.

YS

Well if i need an address i know plenty of people with them. When it comes to registration, you register it in the state you use it in. My waverunner is the same way it is registered in NH and i insure it to. The insurance really doesnt matter its covered for whereever i go. IN the case of the jet ski i have to pay more for use in salt water is all.

If I bought a sled in MA I would pay the sales tax, but if i lived in NH and bought a sled in MA i wouldnt have to pay sales tax because i would be buying out of state. Most dealers just want a NH address to beat the sales tax. Some require an address and drivers lisence to prove u live out of state.

My insurance company actually does the insurance for sleds and jet skis through Foremost, they know i live in MA. Even on my waverunner registration it has my MA address.

The only way i can see any kind of a problem is if i went riding in MA and somethign happened to the sled. Even if i was in a legal spot to ride chances are i wouldl have a hard time collecting because techinically not being registered i was illegally riding in the state.
