Ok i have an 08 nytro ive had this racheting problem or atleast i think its sense day 1 ive noticed im burning through hyfax more then i shld but just in the rear every other time to fix this problem i just tighten the track but i dnt over tighten too much prolly the reason for the hyfax ok the tightening helps but never completely takes the problem away i now have 4500 miles on the machine an this past weekend it got so terribly bad i cld barely give it gas without it clunk clun clunk(i checked the chain case for metal chips an fluid is at normal) so i was wondering about an anti racheting drive like supposedly they have on the 10 what do you think or other ways to fix

Do a search, there is multiple posts on this. Extroverts I think they are called.

Mine ratcheted all the time unless I ran the track tighter than I wanted. I put extroverts on this year and I can run it where i want it, and it will never ratchet.
I used avid drivers, I heard they were stronger than the cheaper wahl brothers so i figured what the heck. They do cost twice as much as the wahl brothers drivers though. Also, if you are running the stock ripsaw track you'll have to either get a fully clipped track or cut all the windows out on the ripsaw. I recommend a new track, the cobra is good...way better than the ripsaw IMO
check them out here www.avid-products.com I'd just call them, tell them what you need and they'll help you out. Thats what I did. You'll never ratchet again.
