There is so many opinions and info on here it gets confusing. So here's the deal. Ltx se has 2800 Kms on it. Has a mbrp trail can. Wot rpms are 8800-9000. But speed is only 140kph or 85 mph.
Same day did several runs on rail bed.
What to do.

It needs clutching or it could just be the conditions.

Mine after it was broken in did 96 stock. No clutching, no aftermarket muffler, only thing was dual carbides. I did that speed on hard packed snow with no studs. But if there was 1" of snow or even soft snow it would be mid 80's. These sleds are very sensitive to snow conditions.
Yup conditions and if looking for absolute most get it to 9200 rpm.

Sled is sensitive to conditions, but I find mine ran much more consistent and slightly faster speeds once I got the suspension softened up and working properly.
X2 Lack of sag is a bigger deal than wind resistance at 80+.

I did revalve my rear shocks and run my track pretty loose. I am studded down the middle. I did just loosen the chain. I went finger tight and back 1 1/2 turns. I didn't have time to go out today but maybe tomorrow
