'08 Apex RTX sporadically stalling. Runs strong but begins stuttering now and again. Apparently my head and tail lights are flickering when it occurs. Dash resets as if I had just started the sled, no tach sweep but displays bar heater settings then fuel level. Bad ground? Checked every connector and tie wrapped any potentially loose ones. It is as if my ignition is being turned on and off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mine did a similar thing. sometimes but not every time it would throw a code when it would happen.
My code was for a sensor. Can't remember which one at the moment.
I tore into it testing the sensor and found no issue. By accident I moved the wiring harness and saw a pink wire poking through. Turns out the pink wire was worn through obviously rubbing metal. I knew I found my issue because the sensor that the code was related to was connected to that pink wire.
I'm thinking u have a wire rubbing somewhere

Me thinking the same. No code coming up. Thought I read about bad grounding blocks and wear points on the harnesses.

Ross, did you check the connector between the seat and the handle bars?

Not certain, which connector between seat and bars? Along right side is tail light. Unless of course you are referring to the operator which may be a little run down but not likely the problem.kbrandt said:Ross, did you check the connector between the seat and the handle bars?

check the ignition (key) switch.... I had the same issue, ended up chaging it, works good now

I know earlier models had issues with the wires rubbing on steel- the ones that come from the hood and make the turn back towards the motor above the ECU.

How did you check it? Maybe I'll swap it out with my '06 and give it a run.jr13322 said:check the ignition (key) switch.... I had the same issue, ended up chaging it, works good now
