Just wanted to take the opportunity to inform some of you 4-stroke guys that may be interested in professional 1000' speed runs that the old NSSR is finally back with new owners after an almost 8-year absence.

As many of you know the old defunct NSSR had a strong long run but ended around 2001. Then CMSA (Central Minnesota Speedrun Association) came to the rescue to give speedrun guys a home to continue on. Now fast forward to early 2008 which brings new owners Ron and Stacy Bray to bring back NSSR for 2009. They have dedicated an incredible amount of personal time into this venture adding ISR 4-Stroke Classes to bring in new racers. Last season seen "3-new" 4-Stoke ISR World Records placed which will be the bar to beat in less than 3 months!

ISR 1000' 4-Stroke I.S. Record: 138.019 mph in 1000'
set by Shanon Disch on a '04 Warrior Simmon's Turbo setup

ISR 1000' 4-Stroke Pro Stock Record: 153.xxx mph in 1000'
set by Jack Henricks on a Simmon's CPR Turbo setup

It would be nice to see even more 4-stroke guys at upcoming NSSR events in 2009 to raise the bar even higher on those records, plus you recieve 4-pass tickets for the day, so its not a one shot deal. If you'd like more info. dates, rules, ect see: www.racenssr.com ........hope to see more of you guys in 3-months! Wow thats soon.

EDIT!!! I apologize if somebody doesn't like this post in this section, just thought it would be a good spot with all the Turbo/Supercharger guys here.

Looking at your 660' ft speed, I'd say a World Record would be in your future Ted, LOL!

I don't run the NSSR or put it on, I'm just a racer myself, but I think they are helping to strongly promote growth in the sport and I know first hand that they are probley the most professional race organization around. So I try to help promote the word of NSSR to attract more racers as nobody likes to race by themselves. Most of the races are around the outlying areas of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, they are possibly planning a race in Wisconsin. I'd say your alittle out of range in your location...maybe a road trip for Jannetty Racing???

Just a quick bump!

The full 2009 schedule is now posted at www.racenssr.com, which even includes 1 race in Wisconsin. Ron Bray has also posted a full page article on the history of NSSR (good read!) check it out under the "News" column.

Hard to believe the first race is barely over 1-month away and ice conditions are looking great!

Hope to see more of you Turbo 4-Stroke guys out this year!

So we are getting closer to the first official race, only little over 1-month away!
