Stock 2013 Nytro FX studded.
3900 miles...this damn thing just gets stronger as it slooowwwly breaks in!!
I swapped in 14.5mm rollers lst yr...luv em..smoother engagement and better belt squeeze.
I went to a YPY spring as suggested and I was getting 8900~8950 shift rpm.
This year I'm getting 9100~rpm...and slightly lower top speed.
She's overevvin and not pullin.
These motors really don't fully breakin till around 4000 miles...!!
I know this topic is beat up but...
Should I go back to the stock spring or which spring to get the shift rpm back to 880 or so?
Or...I am convinced the sled needs a steeper helix. How about a oem Yamaha 47?
That should upshift harder and pull down my shift rpm a hundred or so no??
I'm not lookin to spend on a clutch kit...just twek the clutching with easily/inexpensive stuff.
A oem straight 47 or maybe an aftermarket 43/47?
What are you guys using with the 14.5mm rollers for a primary spring in a stock sled?
What about a helix for same?
Sea level trail riding, studded so traction not a concern, 210 geared up.

I run the 14.5's with a green pink green and the stock helix. Hits 9000
I have also used the 47 which is faster but I had more slipping and heat on clutchs

Mine eats heelclickers...I have 3 sets with groves on top of weights...I wonder if the stock rollers have anything to do with that??
