well i dont know where to begin looking for this one . i have an 08 nytro rtx with 7000 miles on it and never had vibration before until i took it into the dealer to get some waranty work done . They replaced the leaking water pump and my oil tank the had a broke mounting bracket oh and the starter relay . Im not realy woried about any thing except the water pump i know this should have been a simple job but in order to remove the water pump it seems that you have to move the motor ahead in order to access the bolt closest to the jackshaft . It dosn't seem that this was done beacuse that allen bolt was all burrd up from a chanel-lock or vise grip and even it they got it loose with that they would not have been able to get the bolt out far enough to remove the pump without prying or useing a i dont even wana know what. Then the water pump is driven off the balancer shaft and the engine has to be turned to a certian position so that the counter balancer is out of the way for the water pump driven gear and i am woried that they possably got the balancer shaft messed up by trying to pull the pump off without having the engine in the proper position. Anyway i would have brought it back rightaway but i figured they would say it was beacuse of my modds, hauck full exhaust , k&n filters , fuel accelerator , cr10ek plugs , hauck clutch kit , but i know this is not the case beacuse i have ran it with these modds for 2 years and has always ran great. I have no codes flashing on the display and have ran it with the primary removed still the same vibration . changed plugs and added freash gas with injector cleaner and still no change . throttle responce still seems good but when running on the snow it dose not pull the same rpms and feels a bit weaker . has good compression 220ish on all cylinders . i have no idea what else to cheak. my feet are going numb from the engine vibration on the runningbords it that bad . The good news is the water pump dose not leak anymore :o|

Unfortunately I would say your best bet is to re-disassemble the sled. It looks like you probably got a new water pump, the bad news is they did a hack job putting it in. Just tear it down and assemble properly, if you don't have it already, the service manual is available on here.

Usually the simplest and easiest explanation is the truth.
Change the drive belt and see if that fixes the problem.

That being said, I would be seriously pissed if some dealer did a vise grip and hammer job on anything I own.... Contact Yamaha about this hack job, they may be able to give recommendations and/or assistance, particularly if it was warranty work, seeking the advice of another dealer would also help, and if necessary, you should prepare to litigate.

Thanks for the responces and yes i am seriously pissed about how it appears the work was done . I wish i had just done the work my self but since it was under waranty i thought i would have the dealer take care of it and save some $ but it looks like it will cost me more than it would have if i did the work my self. I am a positive the vibration is not drivetrain related beacuse it vibrates the same being on the stand with PRIMARY CLUTCH REMOVED . What i am considering is taking all my performance stuff off and puting the stock stuff back on and trading it in at that dealer on a new xtx and letting their mess be their problem ! !

... I wouldn't deal like that with the dealer that screwed you over, and I wouldn't want to dump something like that off on another dealer that didn't.

If it does same with the clutch off, the engine is definitely messed up BADLY, might even need to be replaced.

DO DEFINITELY get Yamaha in on this.
DO DEFINITELY be prepared to get lawyers in on this.

That dealer OWES YOU BIG TIME. Don't get screwed over by letting them convince you to trade in a broken sled.
