hello everyone, just wanted to check with the pro's, can you hear the rad fan running on the nytro? On my grizzly i can hear it turn on and off, went for a ride boxing day minus 10 c and friend got stuck, i jumped off to help, and about a minute later the temp light was on, not a big deal just rode in nice powder for about 500 feet and it went off, but did not hear the fan. can i test to see if it works? has anyone wired it so it is always on when the motor is running? did this on a sportsman 500 and a world of difference for under hood heat.
thanks everyone,
Happy New Year and Happy Sledding.

the only time i have heard mine is just after you shut down you can hear it spooling down. other than that the engine noise is to much.

What about wiring the fan so it's on when the engine is on (all the time). Can this be done? How?

Why would it burn the stator? Cycling it requires more overall power than leaving it run. If I thought their was a need to run it more I'd probably find a sensor that turns it on at a lower temperature. I had a problem with mine running hot all the time so I installed the mountain heat exchanger and haven't had a problem since.

What about the wiring of the fan so it is on with the ignition? I know there are some rocket scientists on this sight that can explain how to do it. Please dumb it down for us normal people

yes i would like it if someone had info on how to wire the rad fan so that it is on with the engine, or get a different temp setting for the switch so that it runs earlier. On my grizzly if the fan is running and you stop for a break hit the kill switch and leave the key on and the fan continues to run until it cools enough. but if you turn the key off first the fan goes off.
